McBids Auctioneers & Appraisers Inc. – Online Auction Terms & Conditions
Welcome to McBids Auctioneers & Appraisers Inc. (“McBids”). By registering and placing bids on our online platform, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully, as all bids are final and legally binding once submitted.
1. Company Information

These terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan, Canada. For sales held outside the province, the laws of that province will apply.
2. Buyer’s Premium and Taxes
A Buyer’s Premium of 15% will be applied to all purchases, capped at $1,250 per lot, unless otherwise stated in the specific sale or lot description.
Applicable GST and PST will be charged according to the location of the sale.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon auction close, with a grace period until the following day to complete payment.
Accepted methods: cash, cheque, e-transfer, or credit card (subject to a 3% convenience fee).
All payments must be made to McBids Auctioneers & Appraisers Inc.
If payment is not received within the stated timeframe:

The item(s) will be resold at the next available auction.

The buyer will be blocked from future bidding until all outstanding balances are cleared.

The buyer will be responsible for any shortfalls, resale fees, commissions, or storage costs related to the default.

McBids reserves the right to report delinquent accounts to credit agencies or pursue collection through Small Claims Court.
4. Pickup, Removal, and Abandonment
Each auction lists its own pickup dates, times, and locations. Offsite lots will include specific pickup instructions on the lot page.
All items must be picked up within the posted timeframe.
Any purchases left onsite after that period will be considered abandoned property, and no refunds will be issued.
McBids reserves the right to resell, dispose of, or retain ownership of any abandoned items.
All associated costs, disposal fees, or expenses will be charged to the purchaser.
McBids does not arrange shipping.
If you require shipping, please contact a third-party carrier to collect, package, and deliver your items at your own expense. McBids assumes no responsibility for any shipping arrangements, costs, or delays.
5. Condition of Items
All items are sold “as is, where is,” with no warranties, guarantees, or returns.
Descriptions and photos are provided as a guide only. McBids makes every effort to ensure accuracy but is not responsible for errors or omissions.
Buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect items in person prior to bidding.
6. Bidding Rules
All bidders must be 18 years of age or older and provide accurate registration details.
Bids are final and binding — no bid retractions are permitted.
McBids reserves the right to:

Refuse or cancel any bid.

Suspend or block any bidder for misconduct, non-payment, or abuse.

Withdraw or group lots at its discretion.
Proxy and absentee bidding are available when supported by the platform.
7. Technical Issues
McBids is not responsible for technical malfunctions, internet delays, or software errors during bidding.
If a system issue arises, McBids reserves the right to pause, extend, or reopen an auction as needed to ensure fairness.
8. Privacy and Communication
McBids collects bidder information for registration, billing, and marketing purposes.
We may send auction updates, results, and promotional emails - by being a registered bidder on our auction, you are authorizing McBids Auctioneers & Appraisers Inc. to add you to our email list.
Your information will never be sold or shared, except as necessary to process payments (e.g., through third-party gateways such as Square) or to comply with legal requirements.
9. Liability
By bidding, you acknowledge that McBids acts solely as an agent for the seller.
McBids, its staff, and affiliates will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury related to the auction, sale, or use of purchased items.
10. Amendments and Applicability
These Terms and Conditions apply to all McBids auctions, whether online, onsite, or hybrid.
McBids reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.
Any revised terms will be posted to the McBids website and apply to all future auctions.
