Founded by Terry McDougall and his niece, Tam Kostenuk, McBids was created from a shared vision to build a Saskatchewan-based auction and appraisal company that reflects the values they’ve grown up with: integrity, trust, and hard work. With strong ties to the industry and to each other, their partnership blends the wisdom of experience with a fresh, forward-thinking approach.

McBids carries on a proud legacy. Formerly known as TM Appraisals & Auctions, the company has rebranded to reflect both its growth and its continued dedication to clients. While the name is new, the people, values, and expertise remain the same.

With over 50 years of combined experience, the McBids team specializes in asset appraisals, corporate and estate liquidations, and both online and live auction events. Whether it’s a single item or a full-scale business wind-down, McBids is known for its transparent process, reliable valuations, and personalized service.

Terry McDougall is no stranger to the auction world. With over 40 years in the business, he co-founded and operated one of Saskatchewan’s largest auction firms and brings unmatched insight and reputation to the table.

Tam Kostenuk (formerly McDougall), a second-generation auction professional, draws from over a decade of experience managing asset recovery, foreclosures, and complex insolvency files. Together, they’ve built a service-driven business that values people just as much as property.

Now operating out of both Regina and Saskatoon, McBids is expanding its reach while staying true to its roots. To support that growth, Natalie Woods has joined the team, bringing with her a strong background and dedication to supporting operations and administration with professionalism and care.
